Andy Lau : Need Extraordinary Physical Security

Serve as a detective from the past in the film Detective D, it turns left special memories for Andy Lau. In a chance interview with the actor via electronic mail, Andy described his experiences as a detective who plays this extraordinary.

Ren-jie''Dee is a person who had ever existed in the Tang Dynasty in China, although early in his career starting from the throne of Wu Zetian, the first empress to replace Tang Zhou,''said Andy began his story.
Dee must be wise and good, because if not he could not have served twice as prime minister Wu is famous as the people who envy and cruel.

Tsui''Although this time does not make a historical epic film, this movie is very good. Dee, my character is a smart, very smart. And, Tsui wanted me look very attractive from the inside. So he made me look a little older with a rather dull appearance, worried that my natural good looks comical look overshadow thoughts Dee. Although in this movie I look more mature than my actual age, my character still has the charisma to make the ladies fall in love with him. Dee is also a powerful fighter, hero brave, and wise,''said Andy about the characters he played.

When offered portrayed Dee Ren-jie, Andy confessed immediately accepted the offer. According to him, in recent years, Tsui Hark has made several films with different genre.

''It is great for all artists in this industry, both director and actor, to try new things even if they do not believe will win the box office. But, Tsui certainly could excel as a director of the films box office. So, when Tsui returned to his skills, Wu Xia films such as Detective Dee and she wanted me to be one part, I readily agreed,''he said.

Hottest temperature

Throughout the live filming of this movie, Andy confessed required tremendous physical endurance. Filming done in Hengdian in China during the hottest summer. Crews must withstand the temperatures regularly in more than 40 degrees Celsius in long hours almost every day for months.

''I have to fight it, tired, especially in the Ghost Market, the setting in the movie. I can tell you, we spend 16 hours to get good results in one fight scene in one scene. Hard to believe. But, it paid off when you see the results later. As I said, when shooting extremely physically tiring, hot air and the scene that long. But, it's worth,''he said.

Andy Lau expressed hope this film will be one of the legendary films as other films Tsui.
