40 Percent of Cancer Cases for Lifestyle
ALMOST half of people diagnosed with cancer in the UK are caused by life choices that can be avoided. Lifestyle, among other things, smoking, drinking and lack of intake of vegetables and fruit.
Is tobacco in cigarettes, the biggest cause of cancer. Smoking causes at least 23% of cancer cases in men and 15.6% in women. According to a study by Cancer Research UK as published in the British Journal of Cancer.
Cause next is the lack of intake of fresh fruit and vegetables in the diet of men, while for women related to being overweight.
Professor Max Parkin, one researcher said, "Many of us who believe that cancer is related to fate and is associated with genes. But look at all the evidence, it is clear that 40% of cancer cases are caused by things that can still be avoided."
