Regulation Problem Hybrid Cars To Be Published

Good news blowing in the automotive industry who intend to work on the hybrid segment of Indonesia. Section, Ministry of Industry said the government would soon issue a rule that allows a hybrid car marketing in Indonesia. The news could certainly be a breath of fresh air for automotive manufacturers who still resist the urge to launch its hybrid variant.

Minister of Industry MS Hidayat at Menara Kadin, Jakarta, Tuesday (19/6), said that in the discourse about the regulation of cheap cars, government is also preparing other policies around low carbon emission. Low carbon emission is the umbrella of the Government's policy to give priority to environmentally friendly auto industry and provide a low carbon emissions.

According to Hidayat, the policy will also determine the direction of the growth of environmentally friendly cars, including hybrid, fuel efficient cars (gasoline), electric cars and gas cars.

"We will hold discussions on hybrid cars in the near future. I hope to get out regulations on the car," said Hidayat.

The objective of the hybrid car-related policy is the provision of facilities or facilities for the import of foreign manufacturers. "In the first stage, producers are allowed to import hybrid cars in the form of whole or Completely Built Up (CBU), so that manufacturers can test the market," said Hidayat.

Furthermore, providing education to the entire community about hybrid technology because it uses two types of car engines, namely gasoline and electricity.
