Shroud of Turin, False?

Turin shroud or the shroud of Turin. This artifact has been a debate for centuries. That said, this fabric is wrapping the body of Jesus after the crucifixion.

This cloth is special, it has a faint image of the blood - a tall man with long hair, beard. Blood is printed clearly, especially at the wrists and ankles - in accordance with the position of Jesus when nailed and then crucified.

However, when testing carbon sticking polemic in 1988 stating that cloth was made between the years 1260 to 1390. Long after the death of Jesus. What really happened?

Italian art expert, Luciano Buso reveals new theory related to these relics. It comes with a decent idea for a movie like "The Da Vinci Code." He said, the shroud that are kept in the Cathedral of Turin is a replica, not original. It is the work of medieval artists, Giotto.

This conclusion he could after doing research for months on the shroud image. He could not touch his face, because, the Turin Shroud is stored in a closed place and will not be issued unless there are special events.

One of the basic theory of Buso is the number 15 is shrouded in cloth. He said, it is indicated that Giotto made of artificial fabrics in the year 1315.

Buso insisted, 700 years ago is not unusual for artists to put the date in their work, to ensure the authenticity of his work. However, this practice is known only to a certain handful of people to prevent counterfeiting.

"He did not intend to falsify anything, it is obvious from his signature" Giotto 15 "to mark his work which he created in 1315. Cain was not a fake, he just asked to make a replica," said Buso like loaded the Daily Mail, June 8, 2011.

Boso speculate, is the church that asks the Giotto, given the deteriorating condition of the original fabric and eventually perished over the centuries.

Why is Giotto? Because he is probably the most famous artist at that time. He instantly famous when his works decorate the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua - in the form of wall paintings depicting the life of the Virgin Mary and Christ.

Responding to these claims, no single party in the Cathedral of Turin - the fabric is stored to provide comment. However, Professor Bruno Barberis, director of the shroud Museum argues, "I think this theory is ridiculous."

Added to him, the claim that Giotto made replica is not too convincing. The museum believes, blood imagery contained in the cloth does not result from an artistic method. Never mind the date, claims a number of people who claim to see Greek and Hebrew writings in the fabric - nothing is proven.

"We believe that there are images in this fabric is formed by the body of a man who was tortured and then crucified. However necessary number of tests to prove whether the fabric is original," he said.

Amidst all the controversy, last year Pope Benedict knelt for several minutes in front of the linen cloth - when the relics were exhibited his fifth time within a period of 100 years.

This cloth is a concern many people - historians, church leaders, skeptical group, and Catholics for 500 years. Even the German dictator, Adolf Hitler was obsessed and intend to steal it.

Post-carbon testing in 1988, it never existed further testing of the cloth. Vatican balked. While some scientists offer an argument, that the contamination over the centuries - from the ravages of water and fire - can affect the test results of carbon.

The Shroud is given by the Duke of Savoy to the Archbishop of Turin in 1578. Since then the cloth is always stored there.
