The battle for leadership of the struggle for the chair of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) seems increasingly pursed. According to Xinhua news on Tuesday (28/06/2011), U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner is officially supporting the French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde. "I am pleased to announce the decision to support Christine Lagarde chaired the IMF," reads a statement Geithner.According to Geithner, Lagarde has a requirement for the number one seat in the IMF. "Lagarde talented and has the capabilities and global leadership," said Geithner.
"We fully support because the U.S. is also a member of the IMF. Our support, including for economic revival," said Tim Geithner.
