Assen - Marco Simoncelli became the fastest in the Dutch GP first practice on Thursday (23.06.11). Gresini Honda rider recorded a best time of 1 minute 49.036 seconds, at the session which took place in these wet conditions."Super Sic" beat the Ducati rider Valentino Rossi and Repsol Honda rider, Casey Stoner, who followed him. Rossi, who was in the top position, closed to within 0.0360 seconds, 0.491 seconds behind Stoner while.
Although it can only be positioned in two, but for Rossi, this is the best result since he joined Ducati in the 2011 season. A positive indication for "The Doctor", who still seeking his best performance with the Italian team.
