EU Affirm Commitment to Help Greece

BRUSSELS - European leaders reaffirmed their commitment to help Greece out of the economic crisis that hit the country and stabilize financial tales of European Union (EU).

EU President Jose Manuel Barroso said it was at the end of the first day EU summit in Brussels, Belgium. "Member States (EU) committed to doing what's necessary," he said.

The Greek government submitted a proposal for additional budget of 28 billion euros to increase aid package amounting to 110 billion euros from European countries and the IMF (International Monetary Fund).

Without this aid, Greece can not pay the loan which matures in mid-June. However, economists assess, Greece is not going to do for the time.

While the President of the Council of Europe, Herman Van Rompuy said the EU moves to ease access to the development of the Greek EU funds to help the country's economic crisis.
