Bombing Victim Killed in Tikrit 12 People


Two bomb blasts outside a bank in the city of Tikrit Rafidain caused 12 deaths. The details of the explosion was a car bomb explosion. Then, another one was a suicide bombing. A number of policemen and soldiers were reported killed in the incident.

Tikrit, as the AP and AFP on Thursday (07/28/2011), is the hometown of the late former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. There, the attacks are still common event.

On June 6, at least 21 people were killed in two bomb attacks, one of which occurred at a mosque there. On June 3, twin bomb attacks exploded in a mosque and a hospital. As many as 21 people were killed in this incident.

Violence in Iraq declined sharply after reaching a peak in 2006. However, attacks that casualties still occur almost every day.
June was reported as the month with the death toll of Iraqis throughout most of this year, as well as the bloodiest month for U.S. troops in Iraq after 14 U.S. soldiers killed in spate of attacks.
