The Chinese government successfully thwarted an attempt trafficking (human trafficking) 89 toddlers and arrested 369 suspects in two raid operations. Age is the youngest boy is 10 days, and the oldest of four years.
According to the Ministry of Public Security of China, quoted from page Associated Press, Tuesday, July 27, 2011, operations carried out in 14 provinces in southern, eastern, and northern China, 20 July. Most of the perpetrators to sell these children into Vietnam through border province of Guangxi.
Operations involving the 2600 police raid and ended with success. as many as 81 children aged between 10 days to four years were rescued. Perpetrators totaled 330 people also had custody.
Earlier, the Daily People's Daily describes has been carried out similar operations on July 15. This operation is managed to save eight infants aged between 10 days to seven months. A total of 39 perpetrators were arrested, four of which are citizens of Vietnam.

The arrests indicate China is still a fertile ground for the practice of human trafficking. Typically, these children are sold into Vietnam for couples who want children. Worst, these children are sold into slavery, if so then the culprit under sentence of death.
Criminal Investigation Bureau Deputy Director Ministry of Public Security of China, Liu Ancheng, says the practice is growing in rural areas because of the lack of public awareness of the law.
Chinese culture, which says a family must consist of boys and girls more or less accounted for the rise of these criminal acts. Families who have only female children, usually sell their children in exchange for the boy. This is mainly because China memmiliki one-child policy.
