'Wu Xia', Trying to Delete the Past

Past Liu Jin-xi (Donnie Yen) is mysterious. Not so clear where this comes a quiet man. That people know, Liu was a shopkeeper, had a wife and two children. Liu does look ordinary. No one thought that Liu was in fact a martial arts champion with a dark past.

During this time Liu was always hiding his past. Everything is uncovered because of the emergence of two robbers who tried to break into his store. Trying to defend his possessions, Liu Jin-xi and then engage the fight with two of these vicious robbers. Liu is trying to cover so that he does not look like someone who mastered the martial arts high but still there was a suspicious person.

Villagers Liu's residence is not suspicious, but another with Xu Bai-jiu (Takeshi Kaneshiro). Detectives suspect there is something wrong with a scene that only seems to happen to it. Xu could not be sure if these two robbers were defeated just like that if Liu can not master the martial arts. Curiosity Xu increasingly become-so and he began to investigate the past Liu. Apparently this is not the only problem because there was someone Liu from the past that Liu had appeared there.

Review
Whether accidental or intentional but it was a film that was launched in America with the title or Swordsmen DRAGON is reminiscent of the film Viggo Mortensen, entitled A History of Violence. Indeed there are some changes but basically these two films are picked up the story exactly the same. Apart from that similarity, WU Xia is an interesting spectacle.

In contrast to the generally held concept that martial arts films, this one incorporates elements of mystery and detective stories like Sherlock Holmes. In fact, the early part of this film is filled with scenes of robbery investigation that tails death. Chinese production of rare film that raised this theme. Acting Donnie Yen and Takeshi Kaneshiro is very riveting. In fact you could say this is the best acting Donnie Yen.

Donnie Yen able to portray the character of Liu Jin-xi complex well. In terms of fight choreography, Donnie Yen obviously know exactly how to make a scene that makes the tongue amazed.
