Globalization is the Era of Democracy

French Prime Minister François Fillon said that the era of era of globalization is not just related to the free market and freedom to enrich their respective countries, but globalization era is the era when human rights and democracy are upheld.

"Not only concerned with money. The era of globalization has deep meaning than just the free market or freedom that is not trending," Fillon said while giving a public lecture at the University of Indonesia, Depok, on Friday (07/01/2011).

According to him, countries that can apply well-meaning era of globalization will be able to develop the country's economy.

He added, democratic institutions developed in Indonesia has a positive effect on the rapid economic development and sustainable. This year alone the economic development of Indonesia increased by more than 6.5 percent.

"Predicted increase in this economy will grow again in the next 10 years," said Fillon.

So far this economic development relies on a variety of production and the suppression of technology, such as shown from the manufacture of Airbus aircraft parts in Bandung which is then sent to Hambourg and Toulouse.

Not only that, the electrical cabinet located in each French superfast rail or Train á Grande Vitesse (TGV) was produced in the Jakarta.

During an attempt to democracy continue to run, of course, economic development in Indonesia also will not be interrupted. Nevertheless, this economic growth to be lowered to development and poverty alleviation.

"I believe Indonesia will be successful by combining the pattern of democracy, enhancement, and social developments in the handling of the effects of globalization," he said.
