29-5-53: First Mount Everest Conqueror

In the 58 years ago two climbers Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay of Nepal, became the first conqueror of the world's highest mountain peak, Everest. According to the news station A & E Television, direct that the two climbers stuck four flags on high mountain peaks of 29,028 feet above sea level.

Since the decade of the 1920s, the climber repeatedly tried to conquer Everest. However, nothing is as successful as Hillary and Norgay. They joined a British expedition team.

BBC television said that the two explorers were only able to stay on top for 15 minutes because they do not want to risk a lack of oxygen. Moreover, the night before, they had spent the night at an altitude of 27,900 feet.

News of the conquest of Mount Everest just broadcast to the world on June 2, 1953, which coincided with the date of the inauguration of the new queen of England, Elizabeth II. A year later, Queen Elizabeth II gave the title of nobility to Hillary.
