Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk. When receiving a visit from the President of the United States, Barack Obama on Saturday (05/28/2011), he gave the Polish original unique gift, one video game The Witcher 2!
Quoted from Polygamia, a Polish-language gaming site, Donald provides three kinds of gifts for Obama. First, a movie called IPAD besutan Thomas Baginski and the City of Ruins from Damian Nenow. Second prize in the form of pens and drawing during Obama's visit in Poland. Well, third prize is The Witchers 2 Collector's Edition and the novel by Andrezj Sapkowski in English, signed by its author.
Gift it apparently could be an indication of how people in Poland are very fond of Geralt of Rivera's character in the serial The Witcher. Polish Prime Minister confirmed that action had already become a national pride. Other countries might just knew Geralt from The Witcher game that was released to computer by CDProjekt in 2007. However, in Poland has many interpretations of the television series, novels, and so forth.
Perhaps this is not just preferential treatment received by The Witcher from Polish society. Polish edition of Playboy adult magazine even put one of its characters, Triss Merigold, to pose in it. Because of his love, even a virtual character can shift the real model. One question remains, whether Barack "Barry" Obama is going to finish this game?
