Alonso fastest in second free practice

Fernando Alonso became the fastest in second free practice Monaco F1 Grand Prix, Thursday, May 26, 2011. The Ferrari driver beat Lewis Hamilton.

Having just become the second fastest in first free practice session, Alonso managed to improve its speed in the second session. Spaniard became the fastest with a record time of 1 minute 15.123 seconds.

McLaren drivers Lewis Hamilton came in second place 0.105 seconds behind from Alonso, followed by Nico Rosberg and (Mercedes) in third.

Jenson Button (Mercedes) are in fourth position, ahead of Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull Racing) in fifth position. Previous Vettel could be the fastest in first practice.

Alonso's teammate, Felipe Massa, showed good speed and was in sixth position, ahead of Michael Schumacher who had an accident on the first exercise.

After missing the first practice session due to gearbox problems, Mark Webber suffered KERS problems that make it just came home eighth. Adrian Sutil (Force India) and Nick Heidfeld (Renault) complete the top ten positions in the second free practice.
