Auctioned, Application for Leave of Adolf Hitler

A leave application letter typed directly by a dictator of World War II, Adolf Hitler, will be auctioned in England. Piece of paper is expected to be sold to collectors to number tens of millions of dollars.

Reported by page of The Guardian, Monday, May 23, 2011, Hitler was typing the letter on March 1, 1932, after a day after he got the German citizenship. In the letter contained several typographical errors that, Hitler applied for leave of absence to run for president in 1932.

In the letter written, "I hereby apply for absent until the presidential election next German empire is finished. Sincerely yours, Adolf Hitler."

Richard Westwood-Brookes, from Mullock's auction house said that the letter was sold at the beginning of 5000 pounds
