
PARIS - French national team coach, Laurent Blanc, was interrogated about the allegations that he engaged racism movement, on Monday (09/05/2011). However, the French Football Federation (FFF) will announce results on Tuesday (05/10/2011).
Initially, Blanc attended several board meetings FFF, November 2010. This meeting discussed the restrictions on players Arab and African descent in France.
This becomes a sensitive issue in France because many immigrants in the country. France also won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 with the dominant players descent. And, in the second championship, Blanc became the team captain.
The meeting became lively discussed after the media reported last month. Blanc was threatened with dismissal even though France now leads the standings in the European Cup qualifier.
Blanc denied having racial stance. According to Blanc, his comments at a November meeting were misinterpreted or taken out of context.
If proven to recommend restrictions on the players involved descent, Blanc could be fired. However, a poll published on Monday (05/09/2011) shows, only 7 percent of French citizens who wish Blanc fired.
