Dangerous! Soaking too long in the bathtub

Soaking in a long time in the bathtub of hot water to warm in the winter can cause unexpected hazards. According to a study by Japanese scientists.

Hot shower when the cold air may cause interference with the heart, says a team led by Chika Nishiyama, from the University of Medicine School of Nursing, Kyoto Prefecture.

Case heart stops beating suddenly during one hot shower rose 10-fold in winter than in summer.

These findings can be very important in Japan, because the bath is an important part of life both at home and as a form of recreation. Many people gathered in a number of hot springs in a long time, to relax.

"In Japan, most of the hot water bath in a long time, because the traditional Japanese house is not insulated well as in western and central heating is very common," writes Nishiyama and colleagues.

The team is the foundation of their study on data from nearly 11,000 deaths due to heart suddenly stops beating in Osaka prefecture, western Japan, between 2005 and 2007.

Before the heart stopped beating suddenly, 22 percent of people are sleeping, nine percent was in the shower, three percent were working, and 0.5 percent were doing activities that are not specific or not known. When examining mortality due to heart stops beating suddenly, the largest is 54 attacks per 10 million people per hour when men in the shower, followed by 10 per 10 million people per hour while they exercise.

Create a person who likes a hot bath, risks associated with outdoor temperature. More and more cases of death from heart stops beating suddenly occurs during colder weather, said the researchers, as reported by Reuters Life!,
